Welcome to the Child Nutrition Department's Home Page
The Child Nutrition Department is responsible for the nutritional well-being of our students, which includes the East Brunswick Board of Education’s participation in the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. We plan and prepare food that is not only nutritious but also appetizing and in compliance with all federal and state regulations and policies. Every school day, our dedicated staff serves approximately 4,000 meals.Free and Reduced Meal Applications are available through Parent Access under the “Forms" tab.
Families must still fill out the Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals to receive district discounts related to clubs/activities, athletics, field trips, inclusive preschool program, and before/after care programs. An official notice of the child's eligibility will be sent to parents through parent access. Provisions are made for appeals in cases of disagreement. Verification of the applicant's eligibility may be required.
