    The EBHS Track & Field Booster Club is holding its 1st Annual Community Grade School Track Meet for young athletes in grades K - 8 on Sunday, June 4th.     The East Brunswick Visual Arts Department is so excited this year to announce the dates for the EB Annual Art Walk!  The Art Walk will run from May 12th -June 12th in the center of the Municipal Complex on Civic Center Drive.  This year, there is about 300 pieces of art on display, representing grades K-12!  Additionally, this year, the students enrolled in the music production courses from HUES, CJHS and EBHS composed music to accompany the viewing experience! The music can be accessed via QR codes throughout the Art Walk so, don't forget to bring your headphones! Please see flyer  for more information.

     

    2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration:  Attention East Brunswick Residents with Young Children! Children who will be five years of age on or before October 31, 2023 are eligible for the East Brunswick Public School full-day Kindergarten program for the 2023-2024 school year.  Please visit www.ebnet.org for information and registration instructions.  All required forms and additional information can be found on the website.  Incoming Kindergarten students must be registered by May 1, 2023 in order to participate in the June Kindergarten classroom visit and screening.

    Registration is now open for the East Brunswick Public School District’s Summer Kindergarten Readiness (5-Year Olds Entering Kindergarten) and Summer Early Learning  (3 and 4 Year Olds) Academies.  There are 3 and 6 week programs available, with both-half day and full day options, running from June 26th- August 9th.  Please visit www.ebnet.org/elasummer  for more information and to enroll.

    The East Brunswick Public School District Offers General Education Inclusive Preschool Classes. This Preschool Program is open to all three and four-year-old children who reside in East Brunswick. Children must be three years of age by October 31st, 2023 and not age eligible for Kindergarten (5 Years of Age by October 31st, 2023) in order to participate in the program in September 2023.  Please see flyer for registration information.

    The East Brunswick Public School District Community Programs Department is again offering the Early Learning Academy Preschool classes for the 2023-2024 school year. This parent-paid program is for 3 and 4-Year-old children residing in East Brunswick and surrounding areas. Children must also be fully toilet trained. Certified supervisors with expertise in the field of Early Childhood and School Readiness oversee the planning and preparation for the program. This tuition-based program is five days per week with half day morning, half day afternoon and full day options available (including morning and after care). The program is located in our East Brunswick Elementary Schools and transportation for this program is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Please visit www.ebnet.org/ela for full registration instructions, including fees and all required forms.     Registration for morning and after care for the 2023-2024 school year is now open for Registration.  Please visit www.ebnet.org/registrationandpayment to enroll.  Families that register prior to June 1st will receive a discounted registration fee of $25 per student (this fee increases to $50 on June 1st.)  For information and pricing for all of the programs, please visit www.ebnet.org/ost.  In order to receive care starting on the first day of school (September 6th), you must complete your registration no later than August 18th.  Please note students must be registered for morning and after care each school year.  If a student is in the program in the current school year, their registration does not roll to the next year.     For those 5th – 9th Graders that are into games, check out the Tabletop Game Club! This is an unstructured club where the participants will not receive lessons on how to play, but will be allowed to learn the games at their own pace and have fun playing them with their peers. The program is intended to provide socialization and friendly competition in the realm of tabletop games. Games may include Ticket to Ride, Monopoly, Clue, Settlers of Catan, and more.


    On Saturday, June 4th will be a 1-day Flag Rugby Clinic. This program is for youth in grades 1 – 8 of any skill or experience level looking to give rugby a try. There will be basic instruction by experienced coaches with fun minigames, skills focused challenges, and full-on games of flag rugby! The program is intended to provide participants with an informal, friendly, and noncompetitive environment to learn the fundamentals and give a new sport a try.

     

    Registration is currently on-going for Recreation’s Summer Day Camp. Options are available for full day programs 2, 4, or 6 weeks for 1st – 9th graders. There are also half day, week-long options in various Sport and STEAM topics. Non-resident registration for Camps starts on April 1, so don’t wait too long to register your child for a great Summer Day Camp experience!     Welcoming youth from ages 11-18 (10 if AOL earned in Cub Scouts) - Troop 132 strives to provide an engaging and fun program for our youth to hone many different scouting skills applicable to all aspects of life. We put the “outing in scouting” with monthly camping opportunities. Senior Scouts work on leadership skills and organizing community service projects for our troop to help make a positive difference.

    The Blackhawks Girls Lacrosse team will be holding a Summer Lacrosse Clinic for seven (7) weeks on Thursday evenings starting on June 8, 2023 through July 20, 2023 at Heavenly Farms Turf Field B, 440 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.   Rain dates will be Tuesday, July 11th and Tuesday, July 20th.

    The Lacrosse Clinic is open to any girl entering Grades 3 and up in East Brunswick and surrounding towns.  This clinic is appropriate for beginners through advanced players.  Players will be grouped by skill level after first day evaluation.  Daily schedule includes a combination of skills & drills along with game strategy.   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Program Administrator at EBGirlsLAX@gmail.com.  Registration and payment due by Wednesday, June 7, 2023.  NO REFUNDS!

    Stay sharp during the summer with coach Nate Small while maximizing your stick work, dodging, passing, and shooting in a number of uptempo drills with current college players with drills designed to maximize the number of reps you can get in during our 90-minute sessions. These sessions are perfect for the college athlete looking to stay sharp over the summer, the rising sophomores and juniors who are in the heart of their club and college recruiting season or may be preparing for an upcoming prospect camp, or the rising freshman to orient them to the speed and tempo of playing High School lacrosse.

    Bring plenty of water and be ready to work! This is an uptempo reps-focused clinic and every experience level is welcome. Players will be able to work at the speed/level that works for them and help build the confidence that will make them more efficient and effective players on game day. Where needed, we will be matching a few of our committed and college players up with the players who need that extra skills boost to make sure that everyone has a chance to grow during the sessions.
