The Student Services Department
The Student Services Department is made up of Student Assistance Specialists, School Counselors and School Nurses. These groups work together collaboratively to support the needs of the whole child. In East Brunswick, we put a strong emphasis on social and emotional wellness. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) fosters a positive school climate where students feel safe, connected and available for learning. Our philosophy is that students who feel this way will be more available for learning. Our departments work to bring programming to schools that promote positive school climate, self-awareness, emotional regulation, responsible decision-making skills, and coping strategies.
