Student Teaching/Internship Requests

East Brunswick Public Schools welcomes student teachers during both the fall and spring semesters. To request student placement, please follow the guidelines below.

• Only requests from Colleges, Universities, or Educator Preparation Programs will be accepted for student teacher/internship/practicum placement.
• Requests from individual students via personal email or phone calls will not be considered.
• Placement consideration will not be reviewed without the following required documents:
  • Student’s resume
  • Student’s unofficial transcripts
  • Official Course syllabus

Students and advisors are strongly discouraged from reaching out to principals or individual teachers requesting placements. All requests should go through Human Resources, as outlined above. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but placement is not guaranteed.

All students approved for placement as per district policy are required to obtain fingerprint clearance from the State of New Jersey, with the processing fee incurred by the student.

Please note: East Brunswick policy does not permit student teachers to video or audio record inside the classroom in any capacity.

Please submit all required documentation, along with completed Student Teaching Request Form to applicants@ebnet.org. If a placement is secured, your assignment will be submitted to the Board of Education for approval.
