Alternative Programs
East Brunswick High School
Alternative Programs are designed to allow students to engage in experiences not typically offered in the district. Please see below for current offerings.
The FLEX Program
The FLEX program provides a tailored educational experience for students who are more likely to thrive and reach their full potential in a non-traditional, small learning environment. When other support measures have not been effective, this alternative education program offers additional assistance to help students improve attendance, recover lost credits, and work toward graduation through a personalized approach. Students are considered for FLEX in consultation with their school-based team, including the guidance counselor, case manager, grade-level administrator, and Supervisor of Alternative Programs.

The College Pathways Program
Dual-Enrollment/Dual-Credit Courses
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are ready for college-level work can earn college credit by enrolling in one or more of the 30+ dual-enrollment courses offered at East Brunswick High School. These courses provide students with a chance to build confidence in handling college-level coursework while still in a familiar high school environment.
Students enrolled in dual-enrollment courses have two options:
- High School Credit Only: Take the course for high school credit without earning college credit.
- Dual Credit: Pay the course tuition to receive both high school and college credit.
**The offered courses will run contingent upon the availability of approved faculty members.
Courses in the Course Catalog with 'Dual-Credit Option' indicate that the course offers the option for students to earn college credits through the College Pathways Program. Please check the Dual-Enrollment Courses List for a full list of all EBHS courses that carry the option for college credits through Middlesex College and The College of New Jersey. https://hs.ebnet.org/counseling-department/ebhsmc-college-pathways-program/dual-enrollment-courses
Please note - students may be asked to pre-select their interest in participating in Dual Enrollment. Please be sure to reference the Dual Credit course list before meeting with your counselor.
