• About Mrs. Pouliot

Welcome to sixth and seventh grade math. I am Mrs. Pouliot, and I am excited to be a part of the Hammarskjold Middle School community this school year.  I have had the privilege of being a part of the Central School community since 1999. During my time at Central, I have had the opportunity to teach 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. During this upcoming school year, I am fortunate to be able to work at HMS as a Special Education teacher, teaching 6th and 7th grade math.

I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Kean University. After teaching a few years, I decided to return to Kean University once again and pursue a Masters degree in Special Education and a certificate in Supervision. I truly believe that we should embrace the fact that we are all lifelong learners and that it is our duty to continue to improve on our practices when possible, and I try to model this regularly for my students and for my own children by continuing to educate myself on the most current practices and by continuing to find ways to advance professionally and personally. By example, I hope to instill a love of learning and a passion for new knowledge in the students that I have the pleasure to work with each year.

As this year continues, I look forward to learning a great deal about each and every student I work with and hope to be able to build upon their strengths and interests as we celebrate their accomplishments and milestones.
