Grading Policy
Grade 6 Math Grading Policy
Tests and quizzes: 75%There will be at least two major tests each quarter. Students will need to review notes, packets, Home Links, and quizzes. Only material presented for mastery will be included on the test. Tests will be announced at least one week in advance.
There will likely be two quizzes each quarter. Quizzes may contain spiraling topics from math boxes. Quizzes may be unannounced but usually will be announced a few days in advance.
Performance assessments: 15%
These are projects, Do Nows, exit cards, or open-ended problem solving work that can be assessed for a grade.
Homework: 10%
This grade is based on completion, in pencil, with work shown.
Please note: Grades are based on an overall percentage. A straight average cannot be used to determine a grade, as different items are weighted differently. Please contact me if you have any concerns about your child's grade.
