Book Borrowing Policies

  • Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade students may borrow one book each week.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students may borrow two books each week.

Students are asked to return their books before borrowing a new one. This is to help ensure that books don't get lost and so that other students may enjoy the book, as well. Should students forget to bring their book back or if it is long overdue, they may bring home a slip reminding them of the title of the book and the date it was due.  If a book is long overdue and a student states that they think they brought it back, I will check the shelf for it and ask the student to double-check at home or in the classroom.

Fees are not processed for lost or damaged books until the end of the school year. Students are not fined for overdue books as long as they are returned before the end of the school year.
