Hello! I'm very happy to introduce myself...
My career started as a 4th grade classroom teacher in Sayreville. I taught all subjects but loved math the best :) After a few years, I took some time off to raise my children, Sam, now a sophomore at Purdue University, and Laura, a senior at East Brunswick High School. While I was home with them, I had several great part-time positions, including writing the questions used on standardized tests nation-wide. After a few years, I went back to work as a Math Specialist in a neighboring district.
In 2008, I was lucky enough to get hired in East Brunswick as a 6th grade Math teacher at Hammarskjold. I loved my time there and learned so much from my fabulous students and talented colleagues. This is now my fourth year at Bowne-Munro as the Math Specialist. I love getting to work with students in their math classes from grades K - 5!
I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Binghamton University. I earned a Masters in Instruction and Curriculum from Kean, and continued on there to receive a Supervisor's Certificate in 2011. Recently, I completed my coursework to earn a Principal's Certificate. In addition, I'm "highly qualified" to teach Middle School Math. I love to keep learning!
