• On Thursday, March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. It is an unprecedented $1.9 trillion package of assistance measures, including $122 billion for the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund.

Funds are provided to State educational agencies and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Nation’s students. The District submitted its plan on Nov. 23, 2021 and is required to publish updates at various points in the year. The required information is below. More information for NJ can be found here:  https://www.nj.gov/education/esser/arp/

The District sought input from community members, staff, EBEA, EBPSA and administrators regarding the use of these grant funds.  Surveys were sent to parents regarding opportunities for additional academic support.  Staff and unions provided input via meetings and/or communication mediums.  The Board of Education discussed the use of funds at various public meetings.  Stakeholders were permitted to provide input at any Public Board Meeting. Ultimately, grant funds were used to address the needs of all students and staff.
