This course is activity-centered with emphasis on speaking and listening. Spanish is in constant use in the classroom. The focus is on building of a working vocabulary, including common idioms and phrases. Students learn words and very basic and relevant grammatical structures. Teachers also introduce elementary principles of reading and writing.
