Ms. Nydiadra Rivers
After graduating in 2008 from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Psychology, Ms. Rivers started her career in the field of Social Services. During this phase of her career, she worked diligently in building partnerships that would help her in supporting inner-city individuals and families of New Jersey. Throughout her 10 years in the Social Service profession, she gained a genuine passion in being a sound resource for the families that she serviced. She wanted to do more in the field, so she decided to further her education. She attended New York University and in 2018, she received her M.A. in School Counseling. She has developed her counseling style using a person centered and strength-based approach. Her goal is to support others in having the ability to hone in on their best self. In her spare time, she enjoys being a “foodie” and spending time with her family. While she also enjoys the simple joys of relaxing, she has a smart and energetic 7-year-old son who keeps her on her toes. Nonetheless, she has gotten creative with finding ways to maintain necessary moments of self-care.
Ms. Rivers is excited to start her second year with the Churchill team, and is looking forward to building positive rapport with the students and families of Churchill!
