3rd Graders are practicing singing legato (smoothly) as they learn about half notes.
3rd Graders were inspired by Henry Cowell's, "The Banshee," and experimented with autoharps to create their own Banshee compositions.
4th and 5th Graders learned the song, "The Horseman," and created a performance by layering in pitched ostinatos and improvisation in D minor. What a spooky sound!
Second and Third Graders are "catching flies" during quarter rests and performing the poem, "Mince Pie Fly," with an ostinato.
Kindergarten and First Grade are practicing steady beat and using their singing voices with the song, "Hickory Dickory Dock."
4th and 5th Graders are reviewing sixteenth notes with the song and game, "Chicken on the Fencepost."
