End of the Year Math Test will be week of 6/5. Students will be taking the test over several days, there is no study guide. We are trying to get an accurate assessment of how students are doing so far in 2nd grade to get them ready for 3rd grade.

At school, we welcomed caterpillars as we study the life cycle of the painted lady butterfly. Each week, we learn more and more about how caterpillars become butterflies!

We have been practicing math facts with Rocket Math. Students who did not pass will receive a blank page to practice that night. Rocket Math will be done every day before students pack up. Our schedule is already so busy, to participate in Rocket Math for the day, students need to be prepared with a pencil and paper to complete at the time of the test
As a reminder, Rocket Math is a program we use to support students when learning math facts. It is not mandatory according to the math program and the grades do not count on the report card.

Everyday Math Online: http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com/school/n4g1

Passwords and login information is stapled in your child's homework pad (agenda).

You have access to the lessons that we learn, as well as games to practice skills that will be on the first assessment. Instead of having a review day, everyday we have been reviewing using the Math Boxes.
