Plot:True
Believer, by Nicholas Sparks, a wonderful romance novel, is about Jeremy
Marsh, a divorced NYC journalist who writes to discredit the false or
fantastical. He decides to investigate a mystery of ghosts in Boone Creek
Cemetery, an old, abandoned cemetery in a tiny town in North Carolina. He
expects to be there just a few days, long enough to solve the mystery and
disprove the existence, when he meets Lexie Darnell, an enticing, brutally
honest woman who completely puts down his advances. However, he falls head
over heels in love, and it seems that she feels the same way about him, but
the both of them know that the relationship cannot survive unless one of
them makes a big sacrifice. A tale of love, sacrifice, and ultimate
priorities, this book makes for a great summer read.
Why read? I strongly recommend that you read this book. Not only are the characters amazingly loveable, you will also get a glimpse into small-town life as opposed to life in the big city. With wonderful minor characters who enhance the story even further, this book combines a romance novel with a minor mystery tale, as well as wonderful subplots that’ll keep you rooting for the characters and turning pages like never before.

Plot: Jeremy Marsh is
a handsome young man from the city who is an esteemed scientific journalist.
Lately he's been getting famous for his popular articles on investigations,
especially in areas such as psychics, myths, frauds, and claims about
ghosts. Soon he receives news of a phenomenon in the small town of Boone
Creek, North Carolina about mysterious lights that appear near the cemetery
there, and heads out to debunk yet another claim of the supernatural. Little
does he know that this decision leads him to life-changing events, starting
with the meeting of Lexie, who is unwilling to trust this new stranger from
New York City at first. Jeremy finds himself compelled to this beautiful and
mysterious acquaintance and through the solving of the mystery for the ghost
lights, we also see a relationship begin to form around two very intriguing
people.
Why
read?
This book offers a romantic yet
mysterious plot and keeps the reader from being expectant on the upcoming
events. Not only is it a good romance fiction, but it also offers a fresh
new twist by combining the mystery of the ghost lights together. It will
keep you wanting to read more and guessing on how Jeremy will be able to
figure out both his feelings and the mystery.

Plot:
True Believer by Nicholas Sparks is
a classic romance novel. Jeremy Marsh, the main character, works for the
magazine, Scientific American, in which he dedicates his life into finding
out a scientific explanation for every mystical phenomenon. After one of his
works gets published and makes an appearance on TV, he becomes more popular
than ever. Now, he is sent to the small, humble town of Boone Creek, North
Carolina, to investigate ghostly lights in a cemetery. Lexie, a woman who
has dealt with disappointing relationships knows all too well than to get
close to anybody now. But she does know that unlike any of her other friends
who moved to the city, she knows that her future is to stay in Boone Creek
with all her other friends and her grandmother. However, when both Jeremy
and Lexie collide in this small town, both can’t be help but be drawn to
each other. Complications arise as they both are conflicted by what they
think they should do and what they want to do for the rest of their life.
Why
read?
Although True Believer is a little bit clichéd, I still think it is worth
reading. Throughout the book, it shows that love is such a powerful force
that it can not just change a person's life but can also change their
perspective on things.
