Plot: Kristina Snow is perfect. She has outstanding grades and is a quiet, polite, young woman. But one summer, she visits her father and develops an alter ego; Bree. Bree is the polar opposite of Kristina. She has nothing to hide and nothing to fear. And that's when they meet the monster: Crank. Crank is the tale of a young girl who finds that a little bit of fun can turn into an endless struggle for her mind and her life.

Why read?
Not only is this book a very gripping tale but it teaches you a few lessons on how choices you make in your high school years can last you a lifetime. The choices you make now are your building blocks to the rest of your life. Crank teaches you how one of the worst choices a teen can make is to go down the path of drugs. Besides being a touching and interesting book, it is an outstanding read. It's honestly very hard to put down!
Reviewers note: Because I registered so late, I decided to choose one of my favorite books that I read over and over again instead of just one I read during the summer.
