Plot: Stardust is about a boy, Tristran, who falls in love with a girl in his village. He is willing to do anything for this girl, so when she tells him to find the star that had fallen, he does. This sets him off on an adventure in which he discovers a whole new world that he knew nothing about before. Along the way, Tristran also discovers new and fascinating things about himself and his family.
Why read? This book is actually really interesting, even though it involves magic and a unicorn. The author makes you believe that you are part of the character's world with his style of writing. The book is also a quick and easy read which is rarely a bad thing. The movie Stardust is based on this book, so if you liked the movie, you will also like the book even though there are some differences between the two.

Plot:
This novel begins when Tristran Thorn, born out of wedlock, promises his love Victoria Forester that he would catch the falling star they saw together. Nobody in the town of Wall has ever crossed the gap to enter the magical land of Faerie. Tristran courageously travels to Faerie to retrieve the fallen star for his love. During his visit to Faerie Tristran meets many interesting creatures and after a long search he finds the star he promised Victoria. Throughout his adventure, Tristran demonstrates bravery and knowledge he never knew he possessed. By the end of the novel, Tristran discovers new details about his past and develops feelings he never thought possible.
Why read? This thrilling novel brilliantly mixes our world with a fantasy world. Gaiman realistically describes the emotions everyone feels in a setting that is magical and radiant. The feelings in this novel are not unique, but Gaiman’s imaginative presentation makes the novel worth reading over and over again.

Plot: Set in the Victorian period, though not as you may know it, Tristran Thorn is asked to do the impossible: to retrieve a fallen star for the girl he is trying to woo. As impossible as it may seem by our standards, it is more than possible in the world of Faerie. Along the way Tristran encounters countless villains, friends, and new adventures, which allow him to find the star and himself.
Why read? This romantic fantasy is filled with adventure and leaves not one dull area to read. Neil Gaiman incorporates sarcasm and wit into the narration as well as the characters themselves, making the novel comical and enjoyable. More so, the descriptions aren’t long and drawn out, they’re vivid and place you in the scene as if it’s happening before your eyes. Adventurous readers will love the hearty scenes, and will also find themselves gushing over the incredibly cute romance in the novel. As an all around superb story, it is no wonder that it was turned into a blockbuster movie last summer.
