Plot: It’s about a girl, Lee, who chooses to go to a private high school where all the students are rich and only few are on scholarship. Lee is one of the few on scholarship, and she feels uncomfortable to let other people know. She struggles to find her place within the high school.
Why read? It’s a book suitable for teenage girls. It lets the reader understand how hard life can be at a private high school, especially when the main character separates herself from the rest because she feels that she's not rich enough to fit in with them.

Plot: Prep is based on the story of a young girl that decided to leave her hometown to go to a boarding school. It illustrates everyday problems any teenage girl will go through: boys, making friends, relationships with teachers, and finding herself.
Why read? Although this book is difficult to get into at first, it becomes very interesting as you read through deeper into the book. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in chick books or on adolescence.

Plot: Prep is about a young girl who moves from her hometown in Indiana to go to a private school (Ault) in Massachusetts. Throughout her first months of going to Ault, she feels extremely out of place. The reader gets to experience Lee’s difficulties and obstacles throughout the way of trying to fit in.
Why read? I feel this book is a great story for teenagers because it deals with the many difficulties they have to go through. Because of this, the reader can relate to the protagonist’s life. At first you might think the story is drawn out, but it gets better, I promise; just give it some time.

Plot: Prep is about a girl who wants to go to boarding school. When she gets there she realizes how different it is to her life back at home and she tries to find herself.
Why read? This book is worth reading because it shows the life of a young girl who is trying to find her place in the world and wants to fit in with everybody else. It makes you think of your life and how similar her life is to yours.

Plot: The Ault preparatory school in Massachusetts is the new home of Lee Fiora. Lee is somewhat of an outcast in the world of Ault, and goes through many events over her four years there. These events change who she is as a person, and her perceptions of life.
Why read? Lee goes through things that everyone in high school can relate to, and it’s nice to read a book that can also be somewhat of a reflection. This book is definitely a page turner, and there are twists in the story every few chapters. It is the perfect mixture of comedy, romance, and depth.

Plot: This book is about a teenage girl who is
from the Midwest and is now going to a Prep School in Massachusetts. The
book is basically about her transition into the schools and the rest of her
four years that follow. The main character is actually in her twenties and
reminiscing back on her prep school days. She
discusses her experiences and obstacles that every teen experiences from
boyfriend to pre-calculus troubles.
Why
read? This book is for those who liked Catcher in the Rye
and wished Holden were a girl. In saying
that, this book is mostly geared towards girls, I feel, because they can
relate more to it. Its definitely worth reading because even though its
basically just a book about a girl going through adolescence its very
enticing and so easy to relate to.

Plot:This story, Prep
is a coming of age novel that is about a young girl named Lee who gets sent
to a prestigious boarding school in Michigan named Ault. Lee never thought
in her wildest dreams she would be able to make it to a boarding school.
However after applying to the school of her dreams, gets accepted, and wins
a scholarship, there's nothing more that Lee wants then to get away from her
small town, narrow minded family & be off to boarding school. Lee's
perception of boarding school is where only good looking people, the
smartest, and the most privaledged go. Due to this perception she wants to
be just like everyone there. At first she starts off as an invisable person
just going to school like everyone else, trying to fit in. As Lee grows up
at Ault she learns to find herself and stand up for the things she believes
in. As the reader you will follow Lee's highschool life at Ault prep for all
4 years and see her transform from an insecure youngin to a more mature
young adult
Why read?
Personally, this book is not worth reading in my opinion,
however if you like the coming of age novel's about teenagers in their
everyday lives, (complete with tons of whining, fighting, and much more
dramatics) then Prep is the book for you!
Prep
By: Curtis SittenfeldWhy read? At first when I picked this book up I thought it would be a great coming of age novel. I also thought the character would be someone who I can refer to and actually understand the obstacles she faces. Get ready for a large amount of details and following her schedule from day to day as she meets new people and discovers new things. Lee, the main character, seems to be too naïve and has difficulty grasping the ‘city behavior of teenagers’. For a person who has grown up in the city, this ignorance may be to some annoyance because the reader would be too familiar with the things Lee discovers. On the other hand, if the reader is from a small, less urban town, this book would be quite enjoyable. Although Lee’s situations are realistic and many teenagers meet these obstacles in their school years as well, I did not find it to be too enjoyable. I do, however, believe that a person who went to a Prep school like the main character does, would be able to relate more than a public school student like myself. The plot isn’t action packed and doesn’t keep you on your toes, but Prep would be perfect for a lazy day at the beach. Girls would enjoy this book more simply because the main character is a girl.
