Plot: The second book takes off where the first one left off. This time, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, journey to the realm of the Elves in order to further Eragon's training as a Dragon Rider. Other plots in the story focus on Roran, Eragon's cousin, who leads the inhabitants of Carvahall to Surda, and Nasuada as she takes on her father's role as leader.
Why read? I toughly enjoyed reading this book because I am a huge fan of Sci Fi and fantasy books. The plot of this novel is full of twists and turns and will have you on the edge of your seat. Throughout this novel, there are aspects of romance, action, and even humor. Even if your a reader who does not particularly like fantasy and Sci Fi, ELDEST is still an enjoyable book to read because it is very easy to relate to the characters, and there are themes of friendship and loyalty. With the use of wizards, monsters, dragons, elves, dwarves, magic forests, witches, storytellers, enchanted swords and powerful spells all combine to make ELDEST a sure winner for fantasy fans.

Plot:The second book in the Inheritance trilogy and sequel to Eragon, Eldest continues the adventures of Eragon, who is a Dragon Rider. He and his dragon, Saphira, battle the evil empire and its even more evil king, Galbatorix alongside other chracters that include dwarves and elves. Over the course of the book, Eragon goes through extensive training to hone is skills in battle and, in the process, finds out more about who he is both as a Rider and as a person.
Why_read:This book is great for fans of the Lord of The Rings trilogy, especially if you found those books difficult to understand at times. While Eldest is over 650 pages, it's still an exceptionally fast and enjoyable read. Action and adventure are often brought to the forefront in the story, but there's still enough emotion in the writing and in the characters themselves to balance that out. You'll find yourself pulling for Eragon and Saphira, hoping that they will be strong enough to overcome the obstacles so often put before them. Eldest is an excellent choice for anyone interested in fantasy, but can also be enjoyed for its other aspects as well. You don't have to have Eragon in order to enjoy this book, but it helps.
