Message from the Superintendent
PARCC 2017 (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) is the State of New Jersey required computer-based language arts assessment for grade 3-11 and Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. This is the third year of administration of PARCC assessment, last year over 5800 students more than 90%, participated in PARCC. We were pleased with the achievement gains of East Brunswick students on PARCC 2016. PARCC allows students to track their progress from year to year toward graduation readiness for college and careers. PARCC also allows teachers to guide and focus instruction.
On September 6, 2016 the New Jersey State Board of Education approved new PARCC and graduation requirements. The new regulations will affect the graduating classes of 2017 through 2021 and beyond.
