The first day of school for students will be September 9, 2009; EBHS graduation and the last day of school for students will be June 22, 2010.

July 1 - Summer Academy Session 1 begins, Extended School Year begins
July 3 - Independence Day, schools and administrative offices closed
July 22 - Summer Academy Session 1 ends
July 23 - Summer Academy Session 2 begins
Aug 12 - Elementary Summer Academy Session 2 ends, Extended School Year ends
Aug 31 – Kindergarten and New Elementary Student Orientation

The last day of school for ALL students will be June 22, 2010. This calendar allows for 3 emergency closing days. If schools are closed for more than 3 days for any reason, days may be made up in the following priority order: Feb. 15, Mar. 29, Apr.1. Any unused emergency closing days will be used in the following priority order: Apr. 5, May 28, Jun 8.

Sept 2, 4 - CJHS 8th Grade Orientation
Sept 3 - EBHS Student Orientation
Sept 7 - Labor Day, schools and administrative offices closed

Oct 12 - Columbus day, No school for students, staff development
Oct 13- Single session students grades PreK-9, Parent/Teacher conferences, lunch served gr. 1-7
Oct 14, 15, 16 – Single session students grades PreK-12, Parent/Teacher conferences, lunch served gr. 1-7
Nov 3 – Election Day, single session day all students, no lunch
Nov 5, 6 – NJEA Teachers Convention, schools closed
Nov 25 – Single session day, students and staff, lunch served grades 1-7
Nov 26, 27 – Thanksgiving Recess, schools and administration offices closed
