 Web Site; if you would like to receive e-mails regarding PTA events and fundraisers, you must sign up on our new site at Teacher Web, e-mail address TEACHERWEB.COM, click on your state, school and then PTA. Due to the large number of participants, we will no longer be able to send e-mails through the yahoo site. This e-mail list is private and only the PTA Webmaster has access to it. Thank you to our Webmaster Liti Haramaty for setting up the site. Questions regarding the website can be directed to Liti at LITI@HARAMATY.COM

 

Our next PTA Meeting will be on March 10th, 7:30PM in the Media Center. The school budget will be presented and members of the Board of Education will be available for questions. All board positions are open for the years 2008-2010. Anyone interested in being nominated for a board position must attend this meeting.

 

Room Parents; Thank you to all Room Parents who supplied a snack on Valentine’s Day, our next class party is April 18th. PTA Family Bingo Night; was a GREAT SUCCESS thanks to our chair people Donna Brancato and Debra Brancato. Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who donated prizes. You helped to make this event a fun family evening.

 

Scholastic Book Fair; will be held on March 3rd though March 6th. Parents may attend the book fair with or without students during the afternoon conferences and from 2:00PM till 7:00PM during the Blood Drive. Raffles will be awarded daily.

 

Mid-Winter Bowling; March 5th from 2:30 till 4:30 Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes, Any questions contact Kirsten Gordanier at 732-501-1995

 

Family Movie Night; will be held on March 14th, Families with children in Grades K-2 can come to watch SHREK THE THIRD and Families with students in Grades 3-5 can come to watch GAME PLAN. Admission is free, snacks available for purchase. LBS FAMILIES ONLY. Watch your child’s back pack for a new event flyer.

 

Uncle Jerry’s T’s- orders due NO LATER than February 29th. Remember to order your FREE item with every 12 items ordered.

 

PTA Plant Sale, pre-order forms will be distributed this month, watch your child’s backpack for our extended list of  spring annuals, hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs and  never before offered specialty items. Discounts apply to pre-orders only, all pre-orders due NO LATER than April 11th

 

Upcoming Fundraisers and Events for April; SPACE DAY April 12th, Theater Week April7th- April 11th. Theater Week Play for parents and siblings April 11th, Walk- A-Thon April 14th (note this is a date change) School Budget Elections April 15th

 

The following fundraisers have been discontinued or canceled for the rest of the school year. ArtStamps, UseYourPhoto.com and Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader. Thank you to everyone who supported these fundraisers.

 

We are in need of Chair people for upcoming and future fundraising events; if you are interested in chairing an event please contact Vicky Olender at BERVIC@COMCAST.NET. Chair people needed for the Spring Plant Sale, Scholastic Book Fair, Theater Week, and Mid Winter Bowling Party. Events and Fundraisers can not take place without Chair people.
