Welcome
to Lawrence Brook School!
This is a place where children enjoy
learning and teachers enjoy teaching. Lawrence Brook is recognized as a
Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence. We have a dedicated staff, who
provides our students with an excellent educational program. Our
curriculum and instructional practices are innovative, research-based and
effective. We maintain a climate that is child-centered and focused on
learning. Our results have been positive in educating and enriching the
lives of our students. We have an active PTA that supports and enhances
student and building activities. Students, staff and parents all work
together to maintain a safe and collaborative learning environment. We
recognize at Lawrence Brook that it takes a community working together to
educate a child.
Our school is enriched by the diversity of its population. Over thirty different countries are represented. Our students are encouraged to share their cultural roots and are taught to respect the diversity of others. An International Fair is held each year and a different culture is highlighted. We have created a positive school climate with the inclusion of conflict resolutions strategies and peer mediation. Lawrence Brook School is a No Bullying Zone. The Character Counts’ Six Pillars of Character support positive behaviors: These include: Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Respect, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
