Each teacher will provide your child with a specific list of the types of materials such as 3-ring binders, folders, etc. that he/she will need.

Please note: The All-New Hammarskjold Mesh Tote Bag in forest green color will be sold for only $5 through the school store, during lunches. This will be the only option students will have to carry items between classes in the halls, since backpacks are not allowed. Your child will still need a backpack to carry materials to and from school. We recommend a canvas backpack such as Jansport because they are lighter than backpacks made of other materials. To lighten the weight of backpacks, please encourage your child to only carry those notebooks and materials that he/she will need to complete homework or study for a quiz or test. Encourage your child to leave notebooks in his/her locker when not needed at home.

Backpacks on wheels are not permitted at Hammarskjold because they present a safety hazard in our hallways and on school grounds.

Don't forget to use your Target card and mention Hammarskjold to the salesperson when buying school supplies there.
