Registration Procedures

Early registration by mail is strongly recommended. Mail-in registrations
will be accepted until the first night of class.

Registration is processed in the date order received.

You may register in person on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at
the East Brunswick High School, in the lobby.

Unless notified to the contrary, your mail-in registration has been
accepted - just attend the first scheduled class. If a class is filled or
cancelled you will be advised.
Class Locations All
classes are held at East Brunswick High School unless otherwise stated in
the individual course description. Room assignments will be posted at the
school when you arrive for your first class. All Dance classes are conducted
at Churchill Junior High School, 18 Norton Road.
Calendar and Emergency Closings

Courses run for ten sessions starting Wednesday, September 27th unless
otherwise stated. No classes will be held: October 2, October 11, November
22, 23, and 24.

The Adult School will be closed when East Brunswick Public Schools are
closed, or when there has been an early closing due to inclement weather.

Emergency closing announcements will be made after 3:00 pm on WCTC 1450
am/98.3 fm and on EBTV Channel 3.

Eligibility and Accessibility

Any individual (high school level and above, except as noted in the
catalog) may register regardless of place of residence. High School is
defined as having entered tenth grade.

East Brunswick Public Schools have barrier-free access. Please call the
office if you have special needs.

The East Brunswick Adult School reserves the right not to accept or retain
as a participant any person whose conduct/behavior impedes the operations
of the program or affects the rights, welfare or enjoyment of
participants.

Fees
and Refund Policy

Tuition fees must be paid when you register, either by mail or in person.
Fees will not be returned after the first class has been held unless a
course is cancelled.

The students
must pay cost of books and supplies to the instructor.

A
penalty of $25.00 will be charged for checks returned by the bank for any
reason.
-
Fees will not be returned nor credit given unless cancellation is received
in writing in the Community Programs Office at least three business days
before the particular class begins. A $15.00 registration fee will be
deducted.

At
the discretion of the Community Program administrators, when sufficient
people do not register, classes will be cancelled. All fees will be
refunded.

Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing all refunds.

Materials Course fees do not include the cost of materials used in
class. Where applicable, cost of materials shall be paid directly to the
instructor.

Senior Citizen Program Fees
Residents of East Brunswick
who are 60 and over may qualify for tuition reduction. Senior citizens may
register for courses and receive up to a $35.00 discount. Special contracted
courses where the district is charged a fee for each student (i.e. Golf, Two
Point Reduction for New Jersey Licensed Drivers), seminars, one-session
courses and courses designated "no senior citizen discount" do not qualify
for the Senior Citizen Discount. Cost of books and supplies must be paid by
the students.
Proof of age and residency
are required. Proof can be established by furnishing a copy of :
- Senior Citizen
Identification Card issued by East Brunswick Township or
- Driver's license or
- Birth certificate and
proof of residency.
Free
Courses for Senior Citizens
Adult Basic Skills, High
School Completion, Citizenship and English as a Second Language are grant
funded, and there is no charge for these courses offered at any site.
