All Board of Education meetings are open to the public, except those at which there will be discussion of personnel, negotiations, individual students, property acquisition or legal matters. Residents are encouraged to attend. Members of the public have an opportunity to speak during the first half-hour of the meeting and again at the conclusion of the session. Meeting dates are listed on the web site under the District Calendar section.

Board of Education Meetings are televised on EBTV Channel 3 every Friday at 8:30 pm, Monday at 1:00 pm and Tuesday at 10:00 pm.

1 Public hearing and approval of employment contract for superintendent pursuant to P.L. 2007, c. 53 enacted March 15, 2007.

2 Public hearing and approval of employment contracts for school business administrator and deputy and assistant superintendents pursuant to P.L. 2007, c. 53 enacted March 15, 2007.

3 A tentative budget for the ensuing school year must be adopted on or before March 4. (N.J.S.A. 18A:7F-5(c)) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the Commissioner of Education is authorized to make any adjustments to the school budget calendar and to the date for the notification of nontenured personnel. (N.J.S.A. 18A:7F-5c)

4 The public hearing on the proposed budget shall be held before the board of education between March 22 and March 29. (N.J.S.A. 18A:22-10)

5 A final budget for the ensuing school year must be adopted at or after the public hearing on the budget but not less than 18 days prior to the election. (N.J.S.A. 18A:22-32)

6 Each board of education shall organize annually at a regular meeting on any day of the first or second week following the annual school election. (N.J.S.A. 18A:10-3)
